Intriguing story that had my attention all the way to the end. Beautiful graphics both 2d and animated. Buy this game if you love HOPA games!. Meh. Not nearly as good as the first True Fear, which I have played four or five times. This game I'll probably never play again. I waited five years for the story to continue and still no conclusion or answers. Hopefully another five years will not pass before we find out what the heck is going on with Her and Holly! After playing this one I'm not sure if I care anymore.. I had an absolute blast with this game. Finished in within two days, and enjoyed every minute. Had some some trouble when I first got it, with the game not even opening or even being on my computer, and it appears that other people with Macs had some trouble as well, but this was cleared up. The game is long, with plenty to see and do and sufficiently creepy vibes and imagry (although I could've done with some even creepier scenes and scares!). The story is full of twists and turns, and definately requires multiple replays to fully absorb what is happening. The 'Hint' button was a big help, due to having lots of objects in the inventory, as was the map. No hidden object scenes, unlike the first game, but this did not bother me as it allowed the game to flow more continuously.Overall, a great game and a worthy successor to the scariest game I've ever play. I highly recommend it!. As someone who only just played the first part of True Fear a few months ago I was surprised to find that the second installment was only a few months away from being released. To say I was excited would be a understatement! I bought it and only just finished it moments ago and I thought I would throw my 2 cents into the pill so to say...!(1) Okay I was a little surprised that there was no hidden object function in this game, but to be honest it didn't take away from the game whatsoever. Don't get me wrong I love hidden object games, but I found that in part 1 that some of the hidden objects scenes started to become repetitive and I kinda grew tired of them...(2) I have to say part 1 had a better scare factor. Don't get me wrong part 2 had some good scares, but part 1 had me jumping a little bit more. Now when I tell you I got the worst case of the chills when I first enter the asylum...ugh just thinking about it is giving me the chills!(3) The story overall is a little gumbled and the letters and notes you pick up in the game don't really shed any light on what really happen at the Dark Falls Asylum years before. You get little bits of information here and here, but nothing jumps out at you. Don't mind me, I'm just impatient lol...!Whoa... as I read this little review of mine it might seem like I didn't like the game, but that isn't the case. I guess I was just...expecting more then what was given. Anyway in the end I found that this game was fun and I can't wait for part 3 to be released! Would I recommend this game; yes!. Well, this review is open to change provided they patch this as there are so many bugs in the later stages of the asylum it's impossible to progress, it should have been clearly stated this is an unfinished product. You would think that after more than Five Years of delays, false starts and promises that if we would just "Stick with them" we would have an actual working product. That being said this has a very strong opening act but goes rapidly down hill once you get through the gates and not just because of the bugs. It would seem that the production crew didn't actually talk to each other as the clues and narative become very inconsistent and solutions are so obscure that you will be hitting the Hint button very often to find out exactly what you are supposed to be doing. The script is badly written in places and completely misleading in others, the progress is slow and boring, key texts that you need just come in blank and on and on. The overall feeling I get with this game is that GOBLINZ just gave up on it and are hoping for the best. We simply deserve better after all our support and waiting. I will keep checking back in the weeks ahead to see what happens.. Better than the first part - better videos, story, mechanics and soundtrack. However, if you haven't played the first part, you might want to do that before playing the second one, as the story continues right where it left off at the end of part 1.
